Essentials Spring Semester: Environmental Equity

It's Year FOUR of Essentials! Learn from the Frederick County experts about Environmental Equity, Smart Growth & How to Navigate Your Government in spring and fall semesters. Packages are available!

Envision Frederick County is excited to offer our fourth year of ENVISION ESSENTIALS curriculum, our deep dive into local environmental, smart growth and social policy at unique community venues chosen for their setting and sustainability.

Session 2, Community Room, the Common Market, 7th Street, Catered by The Common Market! May 21 9 am-2 pm Food Insecurity...and Food Waste? How Can This Be...

Topics: Discussion of Food Equity Recommendations of the Climate Emergency Mobilization Working Group (Mobilize Frederick), and speakers on food insecurity, food waste recovery and collection in Frederick County schools, Green Schools and urban gardens and schools.

We'll take a walk to the Food Security Network's Greenhouse on the Hood College campus after lunch!

Fall Sessions 2022

In September and October, we will hold Semester 2 with session on Citizen Engagement in Government and Smart Growth/Land Use Issues.

Locations and dates of these sessions will be announced later this spring.
